Matty Matheson’s Matty's Pattys

Yields 4 servings

We’re thrilled to be partnering with our good friend Matty Matheson on his show Just a Dash. Here’s Matty's Pattys recipe from Episode 12.

You will need:

1 1/2 pounds coarse ground beef
1 cup yellow mustard
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons diced pickle
1/2 cup diced white onion
8 slices American cheese
4 Martin’s Potato rolls, toasted

  • Divide meat into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball. Place in refrigerator
    for minimum 30 minutes.

  • Meanwhile make Matty’s Patty sauce by mixing mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise,
pickles, and onions in a bowl.

  • Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high. Place two meat balls in the pan. Immediately flatten the balls using a hamburger press or metal spatula to form two thin patties. Season patties with salt and pepper. Cook patties until brown, about 30 seconds per side. Place one piece of cheese on each patty.

  • Place one patty on the bottom bun, spoon sauce over patty, then layer on a second
patty and the top bun. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
